Heritage center opens its first offices - San Antonio Express-News: The Hispanic Heritage Center of Texas, a nonprofit organization that hopes to open an interpretive history center downtown to tell the story of Tejano contributions to the state, has named Gilberto Ramon, a longtime educational institutions leader in San Antonio, as its interim executive director.
“It's a startup,” founder Rudi Rodriguez said of the center's new offices at 110 Broadway, one block west of the Alamo complex. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held March 6.
